Pojetí ochrany historické kulturní krajiny v zásadách územního rozvoje

Abstrakt: Spatial development principles play a key role in the range of spatial planning documentation, where they transmit to the lower levels of documentation the concepts of national significance set out in the Spatial Development Policy of the Czech Republic and the Spatial Development Plan, and are a certain guarantee of their implementation in spatial plans on the communal level, while also including the objectives of individual regional governments. The content of the spatial development principles is therefore addressed not only to the municipalities and authors of spatial plans, but can also determine the conditions for projects. Thus, regional documentation has the possibility to choose individual approaches to different areas of human activity, including the protection of the historical cultural landscape, which is the subject of the author’s long-term research. The paper therefore addresses the question of the ways in which spatial development policies can contribute to the preservation and development of the historic cultural landscape, and which aspects of protection they ignore. The paper compares the documentation of thirteen regions without the analysis of the Spatial Development Principles of the Capital City of Prague, where, due to the predominance of urbanised areas, landscape protection is conceived differently.
