Cultural Landscape around Královic, Koloděj a Hájku
Abstract: East of the historic center of Prague is a landscape with a number of cultural and historical values and signs. In 2002, the State Institute for Cultural Heritage proposed the creation of a Landscape Heritage Zone in the current districts of Prague - Koloděje, Prague - Královice and Hájek u Uhříněvsi. The main part of the project was to be the valley of the Rokytka stream with mills documented as early as in the Baroque period, preserved parts of drives and foundations under the terrain. The excavated valley is complemented by the historical villages of Královice, Hájek and Koloděje, several ponds, a large nature reserve and a chateau park with a chateau. The area is dominated by the Šance hill fort and the nearby medieval fortress. Unfortunately, the Královice-Koloděje-Hájek Protected Landscape Area has not yet been declared. In addition, all important elements (whether architectural, landscape or visual) are gradually disappearing, decaying and losing their original historical character and significance. Within this area, cultural and historic signs and values have been identified and described, with an emphasis on their visual application in the residence, including distant and near views and vistas in the current form of the landscape. A number of changes (including inappropriate development) and the impact of suburbanisation pressures in terms of new development affecting the image and character of the settlement are evident in all the settlements considered. The chances of declaring a landscape protection zone are rapidly decreasing, the territory is changing rapidly and many values are disappearing. However, it is still possible to preserve, restore and enhance a number of them. It is therefore essential to update the proposal of the landscape conservation zone according to the current state of the territory according to the mentioned topics.
