The Evaluation of Tourist Potencial and the Structure of the Town of Trebon
Abstract: The scale, character and image of cities and landscapes are closely related to their attraction not only for the population, but also for visitors and tourists. For some cities, the concept of tourism is very close, and some of them live. These are, for example, UNESCO World Heritage sites, spa towns, caves, dams, national parks, etc. Many of these cities also have major problems with handling larger masses of tourists, especially in their historical centers. The shortcomings are also in their simple and clear connection with the surrounding landscape, the organization of transport relations and the offer of other needs for tourists. In some cities, these issues are addressed primarily by quality interconnection of interest points. The quality of tourism is also closely related to the capacity of individual points, to the total potential of the territory. The article is focused on a selected Czech town attractive for tourists, the attendance and seasonality - Trebon. The urban analysis consists in analyzing the conditions of tourist attractiveness, the necessary public facilities for tourists and the impact of tourism on the life of the residents. The analysis is focused on the spatial and functional layout of the city and the surrounding landscape, the concept, the organization of transport relations, the sizing of surfaces and equipment. Identification of the potential territory and its optimal use is the path to sustainability of the quality and attractiveness of the environment for the residents and visitors, as well as for tourists. The main aim is to find out the connections and relations between tourism and urban planning, to sum up the main problems and opportunities.
